2008 Youth Development Symposium

Join NYEC and fellow member organizations at the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP) 2008 Youth Development Symposium from November 17-20, 2008 in Chicago, IL. 

On November 18, NYEC will present a pre-Symposium workshop titled: Engaging Employers: Beyond the Handshake. The session will focus on the approaches youth service professionals can take to build mutually beneficial partnerships with employers while supporting young people in the placement of work based learning opportunities.  This workshop addresses some of the competencies highlighted in the Youth Service Professionals Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (YSP/KSA) Initiative developed by the National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth; NYEC is the lead partner in the development of the YSP/KSA's.
