2011 Members Forum Discussion Session Request for Proposals - Sept. 2011

NYEC will convene breakout discussion sessions at the NYEC Members Forum 2011 in hollow-square format. Each session will be interactive and in some cases may feature two discussion leaders. Discussion leaders should possess content knowledge in the topic area and be able to facilitate a rich peer-to-peer learning experience for all participants. Each breakout room will have a flipchart and makers; all other audio/video equipment is strongly discouraged. |

The National Youth Employment Coalition (NYEC) seeks a Director to lead the next phase of work for the Postsecondary Success Initiative (PSI) which launched in 2009 with eight sites -community-based organizations (cbos) operating programs in partnership with community colleges - designed to re-engage youth dropouts to complete a college credential. |

In this 25th year, the NYEC's Board of Directors has developed an organizational framework to reflect the growth and expanded influence of the NYEC and to provide direction for our ongoing work and continued success. The framework identifies the NYEC's Vision, Mission, Core Values, Customers, Core Business, Operating Functions & Principles, and Services & Functions. Through the implementation of this framework, the NYEC hopes to continue to grow, to learn, and to expand opportunities for our nation's youth in the years to come. |

The purpose of this policy framework is to promote a national framework that includes actions for government at all levels to support the healthy development of our nation's youth. The National Youth Employment Coalition (NYEC) is calling for new policies at the local, state, and federal levels that facilitate quality programs.
