HR 41 - First Installment of Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief
HR 41, passed by Congress on January 4, 2013 and signed by President Obama on January 6, 2013, represents the first installment of disaster aid for areas impacted by Hurricane Sandy in October 2012.
American Taxpayer Releif Act of 2012
This bill represents the temporary solution to the "fiscal cliff" crisis in late December of 2012 and early January of 2013. It became law on January 3, 2013. It addresses, among other things,  increasing federal revnues via taxes; delaying the sequester for two months; and lowering the federal spending caps for discretionary funding in FY2013 and FY 2014.
